As some of our clients may be aware our Consultant, Hugh Gilchrist, has chosen to retire and will leave the business on the 20th September 2018. We were all delighted when Hugh decided to merge his firm – Hugh Gilchrist & Co – with Pomphreys in October 2007. Since the merger, Hugh has been an integral part of our team, specialising in private client work and conveyancing. His expertise covered such topics as residential purchase and sale transactions, Wills, Powers of Attorney, and administration of executry estates.
Hugh is a well-respected and acknowledged solicitor not only within Pomphreys but to his loyal client base and in the wider legal community. His presence both professionally and personally will be greatly missed. Hugh is retiring to spend more time with his wife Liz and wider family. We are sure you join with us when we wish Hugh a long and happy retirement.
We would also like to reassure our clients that the work matters attended to by Hugh will continue to be given the same focus and attention to detail as Hugh provided. Hugh’s trusted paralegal, Tracy, remains as part of our team and she will continue to assist our other solicitors, Gosia Chylinska and Robert Allan with Conveyancing matters. Private client work will be attended to by Gordon Sommerville, Sarah Lynch and paralegal Lucy.
