Andrea Baillie is a qualified Conveyancing Paralegal with Pomphreys, working from their office at Hill Street, Wishaw 

How did you end up in this role?

I left school and started working in a solicitor’s Office as a Junior at 16. I worked my way up through various roles, including Cashroom Assistant and Court/Civil, before ending up in the Conveyancing Department. During this time, I attended Strathclyde University and qualified as a Conveyancing Paralegal

What aspects of your job do you find most fulfilling?

I derive great satisfaction from helping clients achieve their dream home goals. It’s also lovely assisting first-time buyers in getting onto the property ladder, particularly at key handover stages.

Could you describe your day at Pomphreys?

It’s always very busy, working with Catrina, who is very accommodating/helpful/understanding. We work together as a team, helping each other as much as possible to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my two granddaughters, who keep me on my toes and active, and love holidays with family and friends

What do you appreciate most about working at Pomphreys?

Working with supportive colleagues, working in an area that interests me and inspires me to learn. My role involves challenges that I can overcome and provide solutions for. I can also work flexibly, if required.
